Daily walkaround check sheet

A printable daily check for a lorry, van or trailer: 30 items in 8 sections, with a box for OK, a box for a defect and a line for the note. Print one per vehicle per day, keep the signed sheets, and write the defect on the sheet the moment you find it.

Anything else to report

Any item marked Defect: give the defect a severity (dangerous, major or minor), report it to the office the same day, and do not drive a vehicle with a dangerous defect. Keep this sheet with the vehicle's maintenance records.

01 Using the sheet

How to use it

→ Without the paper

The same sheet, on the driver's phone

Checkpad is this sheet without the paper: the driver scans a QR card in the cab, ticks the same items and saves it — no login, and it saves with no signal. Defects are kept with who found them and who fixed them, and the whole file prints as one pack for the examiner.
